Lake Garda Wedding Locations
What I want to do here is give you an idea of wedding locations available on or near my corner of Lake Garda. They are neither in order of preference or price. There are many and they are all different so perhaps not all suitable or in line with what you were thinking of for your wedding but give them a quick look anyway, you never know what might catch your imagination or suddenly seem like the perfect match for the dream in your mind right now.
In all cases where prices are quoted it’s for a menu structure based on:
Buffet of antipasti
Sit down meal of 2 or 3 courses (I recommend 2 there is so much food on the buffet before)
Wedding cake
The amount of wine offered varies from place to place
La Torre San Marco Gardone Riviera. This is effectively a beautiful lakeside garden http://www.torresanmarco.it/lagodigarda/location-eventi-lago-di-garda.html this venue costs around €260 pp from 17.00 till midnight. If you wish to party later there are options for either exclusive use or, if it’s the weekend during the summer the place becomes an open air club, during the week the piano bar is an option until way past my bedtime. Hotel Laurin Salò https://hotellaurinsalo.it/en/ you would need to take all of the rooms (22 I think) for probably 3 nights but it depends on the period of the season as well. Prices last time I had a wedding here were about €250pp. Similar menu structure to above but music is tricky past 00.00 even if you have the whole hotel and certainly not allowed past 01.00. Hotel Bellariva Fassano has an enviable lakeside position but you have to take all of the 17 rooms with prices starting at €350-800/nt because it’s 5*. http://www.bellarivagardone.it/ Prices around €190 for the reception but with wine extra. Villa Bissiniga http://www.villabissiniga.com/ on the hillside above Salò, there are 12 rooms here but also 2 apartments so many of your guests can stay here if you like the idea of all being together for a few days. They will allow you to book the whole structure for just one night if that’s all you want. Menus from €200. Music inside till 00.00 no issue and after that still possible for a surcharge. Villa Arcadio https://www.hotelvillaarcadio.it/it/ this 4* hotel is set on the hillside overlooking the bay of Salò. There are 18 rooms and in order to have your wedding here the hotel usually prefer you to take all of the rooms. Prices around €250pp with the possibility to eat in the garden, terrace or poolside. Lonato Castle is a fantastic location which is just south of the lake but still with great views. It isn’t lakeside but it has wonderful views of the lake and it’s a GREAT venue. Palace Hotel Villa Cortina Sirmione http://www.palacehotelvillacortine.com/ Weddings here are now required to take the whole structure of 53 rooms for 3 nights. Wedding breakfast prices from approx. €300 to inc wine, supplements for party past 23.30 or dinner on the jetty. Up to 180 guests.
La Speranzina Sirmione https://www.lasperanzina.it/ this beautiful and exclusive restaurant can be rented out entirely or in part depending on the number of guests you have and what you want for your reception therefore prices alter in accordance with that but also the month and day of the week. Therefore each request is individually evaluated, lets say €220 – 270. They don’t really want weddings more than 30-40 people.
Villa Bettoni Gargnano https://www.villabettoni.it/en/ incredible historic lakeside villa. Only location so no rooms here and catering is your free choice so prices from €250pp on top of the hire cost which starts at €11,000 upwards depending which parts of the villa you wish to use. Music until 00.00 unless special permission is obtained. Up to 150 guests but the inside rooms, should the weather be unkind, would have the guests divided into separate rooms. The largest room can seat 80 people.
Isola del Garda https://www.isoladelgarda.com/ this location cannot be compared to anything, it’s totally unique. Prices vary depending on whether you only want to have your ceremony here or also your reception. Catering costs are always to be considered extra to the hire costs and you should be aware many suppliers charge supplements because of the logistics of working here so please be comfortable with your budget. Legal ceremonies are possible here, the Loggia can seat 100 people. Receptions of up to 110 guests possible. La Veranda Barbarano https://www.laverandarestaurant.it/ perfect lakeside position in this modern glass restaurant. The hotel that is part of offers rooms of course but wouldn’t be able to give exclusivity. Prices from €180pp, music until 23.30. Up to 60 guests. Bella Hotel Portese http://www.bellahotel.com/en/ this lovely hotel will take small weddings during the season and possibly larger weddings early or late season. Prices from €160pp inc wine. There is a lovely gazebo for a symbolic ceremony but a legal ceremony isn’t possible here.
Villa Avanzi, Polpenazze http://www.villaavanzi.it/location.php this villa is used exclusively for events so you get the whole space to yourselves. It’s now licensed for legal ceremonies as well. There are different spaces which allow you to have the ceremony or dinner inside or out and it comes with a complementary suite for the night of your wedding. For weddings over 70 people there is no separate location fee and the Wedding Breakfast costs from €145pp. Music till 00.30
Tenuta Le Selve https://www.tenutaleselve.com/?lang=en this is a property split into two villas (rented Sat-Sat) but with the possibility to hire both for a wedding. Stunning views and plenty of outside space lend it very well to a garden style wedding however there is no plan B with suitable inside space so we have to also calculate for the hire of a marquee. Catering is separate. Max 30 people.
Casa degli Spiriti https://casadeglispiriti.it/en/ with it’s elevated position this location offers incredible views over the lake. It’s possible to have your civil ceremony here. Off the lake
Convento dell’Annunciata http://www.conventodellannunciata.it/it/ off the beaten track this is only a location so no rooms here. I’d suggest staying in Desenzano a 30 min drive away. Catering is always brought in for events here and something good quality would cost from €220pp min. A legal ceremony is possible here. Up to 80 guests.
Convento Lonato https://convento.it/ this is a unique place that falls between restaurant/location and night club. There are lots of different space which could be exclusive for the reception but with the possibility to join the rest of the party later. They have small rooms and side gardens and larger spaces so possibilities for events of any size.
Villa Cordevigo Caviaon https://www.villacordevigo.com/ if you’d like to have your wedding in this 5* hotel you have to take all of the 30+ rooms. A legal ceremony is possible here. Up to 90 guests.
Villa dei Mulini https://www.villadeimulini.com/en/weddings/ with access to the riverside and rooms as well this is a lovely venue I’ve recently discovered.
Villa Cariola http://www.villacariola.it/ Set in land beyond the lake but less thank 10kms from the town of Garda is this 36 room hotel. They have the possibility to perform legal as well as symbolic ceremonies here. A block price for all the rooms for a min of 2-3 nts over a weekend costs between €6500-7500 which depends on the time of year, a 10% discount applies for mid week. Reception costs are from €120pp (not including wine) at the weekend.
